The weekend began where a long week ended. I had two more days of training at work and by the end of it, I felt like I was drinking out of the fire hose. It was just this constant stream of information and sitting there, trying to keep up and maintain interest drained me of all energy. I was too damn tired to cook so we ordered in Thai on Friday night and vegged out in front of the TV the rest of the night.

I had to get up early on Saturday for a dentist appointment. My dentist’s office is located in the same neighbourhood as my former employer so making that trek out there and being in those familiar surroundings always gives me the heebie jeebies.

The commute to the dentist was well over half an hour and while on the subway, I contemplated switching over to the dentist’s other office which is much closer to home. Commuting across the city on Saturday mornings for dentist appointments isn’t my idea of fun. Especially when it means I’m forced to go into the ol’ ‘hood.
