Tidbits

I posted some more games on Craigslist today and got a few responses. One guy was like, “I can be at your house to pick them up on Sunday. What is your cell number and where do you live?” Uhm, slow down there buckaroo. Another guy wanted to trade; two of my games for Grand Theft Auto IV. If I hadn’t already finished GTA, I might be interested. The third guy wants one of the games but he and I are in different parts of the city during the week. We’ll have to figure out a middle ground to meet if he decides to pursue the sale.
I’ve tried a few times to sign up for my Windows 7 upgrade but the Dell site is crawling along. I’m thinking there’s quite a few of us looking to make the switch from Vista. Everything I’ve read thus far has suggested that Vista users should make the switch whereas XP users may want to stick with what they have. If my old machine hadn’t gone ka-boom, I’d have stuck it out with XP too.
This has been a productive week at work for me. I’ve gotten two major projects off of my plate and am starting to feel a bit like I don’t have ten people after me for something. Vortex and I are slowly starting to talk again but I’m still keeping my distance from her. She’s a bit too odd for my liking. There’ll likely be another post about work stuff as there’s some developments shaping up that will affect my job and what I do.
What better way to end a busy week? Ladies-only poker, of course. Our friends Christine and T are hosting a ladies social/poker night. K, cousin Brooke and another colleague of S’s will be joining us along with my friend Natalie from work. I’m looking forward to the evening.
I just got home from class not too long ago and am thinking it’s time to call it a night.

I bought a refurbished laptop last time, specifically so I could stay with XP. I looked at Vista, and I hate it.
Good look at poker. (that sounds dirty)
My gf’s laptop has Vista and it is crap. I have kept my aging desktop computer just because it has XP and works like a champ.
Have fun pokering whomever!
@Syd Had I found the XP install disc, I would have looked at getting the old computer fixed. But that would have been a hassle all on its own. They say 7 is much better than Vista, we shall see.
@e Thanks! It should be a gay ol’ time.
