The Arrival of Mr. Drake

I was on Amazon the other day looking for something, I don’t remember what, when I noticed the pre-order option for the new Uncharted video game, Among Thieves. The screen shots from the game looked pretty sweet so I started hopping from site to site looking for more information.

I knew the game was going to be released this month, but I hadn’t paid much attention as I knew I’d just rent it or wait for the price to be lowered before buying it. Then I saw this:

Might I just say, Holy Shit. That looks like a movie trailer and not one for a video game. The story line looks interesting, and a plausible follow up to the first game. From what I’ve seen of demo’s, the controls look to be pretty smooth too.

My one complaint from the first game that I hope Naughty Dog addressed in this one is the amount of amo required to kill someone. It would take forever to get through a scene because guys would take forever to die, and that’s not even getting to the zombies (hope I didn’t just spoil it for someone).

Still, Amazon’s selling the game for $60. Who knew games cost that much?! I guess I’ve always either bought games once they’ve gone down in price or gotten them as gifts. As sweet as the trailer looks, I think I’ll wait for the price to drop. I mean, it’s not like its God of War III or anything.
