One gay gals' musings and observations while travelling on the streetcar
Spanglish
Two of the gals I work with, Natalie and Marigold, weren’t feeling so great when they came into work today. They both had a sore throat, headache and other cold-like symptoms. Marigold, who hails from Mexico, has a thick accent and often fumbles with English words and phrases. Case in point, earlier today:
Natalie: I’m really not feeling well.
Marigold: Me either. I hope we don’t have the HIV.
{silence}
In between bursts of laughter, Natalie tried explaining that she doesn’t have neither HIV or H1N1.
