‘Tis a Thing of Beauty

Mondays are pretty long as it is. Now that I have class on Monday nights, it makes the day so much longer. I was in a mid-day funk earlier until I found something that made my pants very happy: the newest trailer for God of War III. I had originally thought that it would be released this month but word is that Sony will be releasing it during its next fiscal year, which goes until March ‘10.

This video has been cleaned up a bit so it’s not as violent as the game will be. Still, the graphics are beyond amazing. The fluid motion, the contrast of colours, Kratos’ new moves and weapons, they’ve even kept the scar across Kratos’ stomach that he got in God of War II. It’s like no detail has been overlooked. It’s going to be a pretty sweet game.

The God of War games alone make owning a PS3 worth the price tag. There is talk of Sony lowering the price of the system and bundling it with the GOW III since 1 in 3 GOW players don’t currently own a PS3. Appealing to all of the GOW fans who don’t yet own a system would mean big things for Sony.
