Hump Day Eve

6 Jan

I think I’ve finally settled on a new theme for the blog. I’d been itching for awhile to change it, especially when 2.7 was released. But every time I installed one, I didn’t like how it looked. It’s only been about twenty minutes, but I’m still happy with it.

The two days I’ve been back at work have been pretty busy. I have a big project on my plate and the higher ups are pushing to get it done this month. We are changing the format of one of the web sites I look after. In addition to that, we are moving to a new Content Management System. Not only will I have to ensure nothing is lost when we change the layout but I’ll have to learn a new system before even implementing the new pages.  I think this month will be a busy one for me.

It’s supposed to snow overnight which will mean getting up a bit earlier to shovel. The joys of home ownership.

One good thing about the holidays being over is not having to go shopping after work. I’m strange in that I like to come straight home after work (unless I have dinner plans or what not.) But on most days, I want to head right home from the office. Detouring, to shop for other people no less, made me a grumpy pants.

I think S is itching for a cigarette. Usually she’ll go outside by herself but she was spooked by a weird dude walking up the street the other night so I’ve been accompanying her outside. (Yes, I know, I’m whipped.)

Here’s hoping Hump Day tomorrow is not too snowy or cold or too hectic.

I hate shopping after work too. I usually don’t have the luxury of doing that anyway, though, since I have to pick up Liv from school. I dragged her along with me a few times on errands, though, and good hell, she was so whiny. Even worse than I was….

Maybe when she’s older, you can get her to do all of the shopping on your behalf.
