One gay gals' musings and observations while travelling on the streetcar
The Fireplace of Joy
There are times S is so cute, all I can do is just smile and take her in. This morning was an example of such an instance.
We were sitting at our dining table (which are currently occupied by our notebooks) and she said, “Come here, I want to show you some fireplaces I’ve found online.”
“In a second,” I replied, “let me finish this.” I was having a hearty breakfast of my momma’s sweet bread and coffee. When I made my way over to S’s computer, she showed me the different pages that had pictures of fireplaces. The last page had several images on the screen and so I pointed at the one I liked and said, “I like that one and the first one you showed.”
“Yes! I like the first one too!!” S exclaimed with glee. She pumped her arms as she said she’d been hoping I’d like it too. She looked like a child who’d just opened her most wished for present on Christmas day.
I know everyone thinks their boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other is the cutest/smartest/etc, but in my case, it’s the absolute truth.

Awww, that’s sweet.
But, I want to know about that sweet bread. Was it, by chance, (Latin American) pan dulce? If so, I NEED the recipe. NOW!

Christine,
We’ll be getting a electric flame one. Anything else is sort of out of our budget right now.
