Today is looking to be a good day. I’m meeting up with Mel (who got back from Australia on Thursday) in about an hour. It’ll be weird actually having her sit across the table from me and not needing a computer to chat. She’s having a rough go of it; she misses Oz, misses her girl, and definitely misses the weather. We had our first snowfall on Friday; it was nothing more then a dusting, but it was snow nonetheless.

Today is also the Santa Claus parade here. I think it’s starting now; and M and the little one are there (at least that was the plan.) I am meeting up with them later on – after seeing Mel. I think it’ll do me a world of good to see the little one. Just seeing her smile and watching those big brown eyes light up warms my heart. She already has her letter ready to hand over to Santa; she’s been carrying it around all week everywhere she goes. She is just too precious and I am thankful every day that they are both in my life.

On the topic of being thankful; it’s the American Thanksgiving this week; which means it is the official start to the shopping spree for Christmas.*barf* Remember folks, this Friday is Buy Nothing Day

On a more personal note; I just wanted to thank everyone who’s been so incredibly supportive these last few days. Thank you for the kind words, even on a screen, they mean a lot. Thank you for the calls and
offers of support. And most importantly, thank you for caring and checking to see how I am doing. I’m not as numb as I’ve been; but I still feel pretty raw. Like everything else, I’m going to take this on a day at a time.

Aye, I should call Mel and see where she’s at.

Peace, all.
